Dr. Melissa Hagan is Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology at San Francisco State University and Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at University of California, San Francisco. She is the Director of the Stress, Trauma, and Resilience Lab and a licensed clinical psychologist. Melissa’s research focuses on the effects of early life adversity on psychological and biological functioning across the lifespan, and her clinical expertise includes the treatment of mood, post-traumatic stress, and acute adjustment disorders in children, families, and adults. She has received a number of awards for her work including a National Institutes of Health Prevention Science Fellowship, a Young Investigator Award from the American Psychosomatic Society, and the San Francisco State University Presidential Award.
