An insightful portray of psychological trauma, with the NPCs and challenges representing aspects of the player-character’s mental anguish. A close friend who has suffered similar psychological issues has said that just seeing these aspects well-realised in art (hearing voices, paranoia about their surroundings…) has helped her come to terms with them and feel less isolated in her experience. While the game itself is challenging, overcoming those challenges in the game gives a sense of real achievement and control over one’s mental health.
